Growing up in the Springfield area and graduating from Missouri State University, I have always remained involved in public service professionally and civically.  My professional experience as a city planner and manager of federally-funded programs has given me the knowledge to effectively lead in local government and understand the impacts of policy and budgeting decisions on our everyday lives.

I give back to my community through extensive volunteerism.  I have worked hands-on to address many different priorities for our community:

• Caring for our natural environment as Garden Leader for the Springfield Community Gardens

• Connecting with neighbors as President of the West Central Neighborhood Alliance

• Addressing regional housing affordability and homelessness as Co-Chair of the Community Partnership of the Ozarks' Housing Collaborative
